Good news from the Oslo-group



Toril Opsahl has been awarded a prize for her phd-thesis. The board of “Kunnskap i Oslo” has unanimously selected her thesis as the best contribution to Oslo research in 2009. The name of the thesis is ““Egentlig alle kan bidra!” – en samling sosiolingvistiske studier av strukturelle trekk ved norsk i multietniske ungdomsmiljøer i Oslo”. The prize is NOK 100 000 and will be given to Opsahl at
an award ceremony at the Oslo city hall Monday 21.06.10



Signe Laake has received a doctoral research fellowship at the University of Oslo. She will start her new job 01.01.2011. Her fellowship is connected to the project “Information Structure and Word Order Change in Germanic and Romance Languages” and Laake will be working with Old Norse. Read more about the project here.
