Tuesday November 3rd 2009, the Göteborg group of the N'CLAV network visited Dialekt-, ortnamns- och folkminnesarkivet i Göteborg (DAG) (The Department of Dialectology, Onomastics and Folklore Research in Gothenburg).
Here Maria Löfdahl gave a presentation of the archive and it's history, Maria Löfdahl and Lena Wenner (N'CLAV) presented their ongoing research, Angeredsprojektet, on language, dialect and place names among children in the ages of 8 to 12 in the outskirts of Göteborg.
Jenny Nilsson (N'CLAV, to the left in the picture) presented the project Dialektutjämning i Västsverige (Dialect loss in Western Sweden), investigating dialect change. At the meeting we learned – among other things – that in the Dialektutjämning project, the researchers have met with an informant from Orust (an island at the Swedish west coast) using the dative form ham in spontaneous speech.
